AstraZeneca Pharma India's Revenue Boost Amid Profit Dip
AstraZeneca Pharma India reported a 23% decrease in net profit for the March quarter of FY26, yet its revenue increased by 20.42%. The company's total revenue for FY26 rose significantly, with strong performance in Oncology, Biopharmaceuticals, and Rare Disease sectors.
AstraZeneca Pharma India on Tuesday reported a 23 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 44.88 crore for the March quarter of FY26.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 58.25 crore for the January-March quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by AstraZeneca Pharma India, a biopharmaceutical company.
Its revenue climbed 20.42 per cent to Rs 578.61 crore in the March quarter of FY26. It was Rs 480.48 crore a year ago.
Total expenses of AstraZeneca Pharma India in the March quarter grew 27.36 per cent to Rs 525.34 crore.
For the entire FY26, AstraZeneca's net profit jumped 62 per cent to Rs 187.52 crore.
Its total revenue rose 32.58 per cent to Rs 2,275.58 crore for the financial year ended March 31.
The revenue growth was ''supported by continued growth in Oncology and Biopharmaceuticals, as well as progress in Rare Disease'', said an AstraZeneca Pharma statement.
Shares of AstraZeneca Pharma India on Tuesday closed at Rs 8,984.05 per scrip on BSE, up 2.14 per cent from the previous close.
