The political atmosphere in the United States is increasingly charged as President Joe Biden has announced he will not seek re-election in 2024. Instead, he has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, citing the 'best interest' of the party.

Amid these developments, former foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla emphasized that bipartisan support for India-US relations remains strong. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Shringla stated, 'We in India can take pride in the fact that India-US relations are supported by both sides of the political aisle in the United States.' He further added that the political developments in the US would not affect the India-US relationship.

The 2024 US presidential election is scheduled for November, with the primary race expected to be between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. Shringla highlighted that India's relationship with the US is poised to grow stronger, reflecting enduring bipartisan support.
