A series of educational fairs, organized by the US Embassy and four consulates, concluded in New Delhi on August 16, 2024. The events began in Hyderabad and spanned several cities, providing a platform for students to engage with representatives from more than 80 accredited universities in the US.

In New Delhi, the fair took place at the Lalit Hotel with representatives from over 50 American universities. Minister Counsellor for Public Diplomacy, Gloria Berbena, revealed that the eight fairs drew over 10,000 students and their families. She emphasized the numerous opportunities American education offers and noted a record number of Indian students studying in the US last year.

Michael Wilhelm from the University of North Carolina Wilmington discussed the unique interaction between US students and professors, highlighting a strong post-Covid resurgence in student numbers. Jorge Calderon from Iowa State University reported significant growth in international undergraduate admissions. The fairs also featured sessions on visa interviews and admission processes.
