India and UAE Join Forces in Public Sector Audit Cooperation
India's Comptroller and Auditor General signed an MoU with the UAE Accountability Authority to enhance cooperation in public sector auditing. The agreement aims to strengthen capacities, share knowledge, and improve auditing methodologies between the two nations.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Accountability Authority, marking a significant step in bilateral cooperation in public sector auditing. The MoU was signed during a meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Monday evening.
The agreement aims to bolster professional capacities and enhance audit methodologies within both institutions. Additionally, it highlights areas for cooperation such as knowledge exchange and capacity development programs, either in India or the UAE.
Girish Chandra Murmu, CAG of India, remarked that the memorandum strengthens long-standing shared values and goals, while also fostering greater knowledge exchange and collaboration. Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, noted the MoU's critical role in enhancing external audit practices and reinforcing bilateral ties through mutual cooperation.
