SGCA 2024 Celebrates Excellence in Government Communication

The 11th Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA 2024) honoured winners at Expo Centre Sharjah. Sharjah [UAE], September 5 (ANI/WAM): Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, honoured the winners of the 11th Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA 2024) on Thursday. The ceremony, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), took place at Expo Centre Sharjah, marking the end of the 13th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024).

In his address, Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB, highlighted the transformative impact of SGCA over the past eleven years. He stated, "SGCA has not only recognized outstanding efforts but has also catalyzed positive change, supporting those dedicated to advancing government communication in line with Sharjah's vision of creating a new paradigm in this field."

Media personality Mona El Shazly, representing the SGCA jury committee, praised the award's role in enhancing government communication. She emphasized that SGCA promotes best practices, fosters the exchange of ideas, and improves the effectiveness of government messaging to meet societal needs. She noted a significant growth in global submissions, reflecting the award's expanding influence.

This year's SGCA winners include KSA's Ministry of Tourism for Best Integrated Communication System and the Arab Youth Centre in UAE for Best Campaign Targeting Cultural Identity and Arabic Language. Other winners span various categories, highlighting innovative and impactful government communication initiatives across the region.
