Global Scout Event Unites Youth for a Greener World

Organized by the Emirates Scout Association under the 'Scouts for a Greener World' theme, the event fostered global citizenship and cultural exchange through digital and amateur radio platforms.

In Ras Al Khaimah, the Jamboree on the Air and Internet (JOTA-JOTI) was launched by Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, taking place at the Zayed Educational Complex. The world's largest scouting events, centered around digital and radio communication, aim to promote friendship and global citizenship among youth worldwide.
Organized by the Emirates Scout Association in partnership with several prominent organizations including the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, the event hosted 200 scouts in person and engaged over 5000 participants online. The initiative, themed 'Scouts for a Greener World', offered a platform for scouts to interact and learn about each other's cultures.
Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Emirates Scout Association, emphasized that JOTA-JOTI is an unprecedented digital gathering, uniting over 2 million scouts annually. Participants from over 174 countries engage in a weekend full of learning about communication technology and building international friendships, embodying the spirit of scouting.
