As Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up for his visit to the United States, Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias has spotlighted India's burgeoning global stature. Dendias underscored Greece's aspirations to see India assert itself more prominently on the international stage, particularly in vital zones like the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.
In an interview with ANI, Dendias spoke highly of his relationship with India and praised its economic achievements. He mentioned a desire to witness India's military, especially its Air Force and Navy, play a larger role internationally—an agenda likely to be discussed during Modi's upcoming talks with US President Donald Trump.
Prime Minister Modi's visit, scheduled for February 12-13, marks his first interaction with President Trump following the latter's second-term commencement. During his stay, Modi also engaged with US Vice President JD Vance in Paris to discuss bilateral interests, including cooperation in clean US nuclear technology.
