The grim discovery of a Baloch youth's body in Panjgur, Balochistan, has sparked renewed outrage and protests across the region. Identified as Hayat, son of Sabzal, his disappearance was allegedly enforced by Pakistani soldiers from Turbat on July 3, 2024, according to sources from The Balochistan Post.

In response to his abduction, Hayat's family staged a sit-in protest outside the Deputy Commissioner's office in Turbat. Despite assurances of his safe return, the protest was disbanded, only for his body to later surface in Panjgur. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), alongside the family, plans further demonstrations in Turbat, continuing their struggle for justice.

Leading human rights advocates, including Paank from the Baloch National Movement, have condemned the incident as a grave violation of international laws. They urged Pakistan to uphold its duty to protect life and due process. Amid widespread protests, businesses in several cities shuttered, demanding accountability from Pakistani authorities.
