In a pivotal diplomatic exchange, Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka is set to visit India from August 24-26, meeting with key officials including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. This marks Rabuka’s inaugural visit to India in his current capacity, as highlighted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Accompanied by senior officials and family, the Fijian delegation will engage in comprehensive talks with Indian counterparts. Prime Minister Modi will host a luncheon for Rabuka on August 25 in New Delhi, further solidifying the bond between the two nations. The visit emphasizes not only political but also cultural and people-to-people ties, reinforcing longstanding international relations.

Rabuka is also scheduled to address the Indian Council of World Affairs on 'Ocean of Peace', symbolizing the peaceful collaboration between these two countries. The ongoing partnership, reflected in past collaborations and agreements, signifies India's role as a key development partner for Fiji, supporting nation-building efforts and enhancing diplomatic ties across the Pacific region.
