Vice President CP Radhakrishnan wrapped up a fruitful visit to Seychelles on October 27, marking his presence at the inauguration of newly elected President Patrick Herminie. The two-day visit highlighted India's dedication to fortifying its bilateral relationships under Vision MAHASAGAR, reflecting India's continued emphasis on collaborating with the Global South.
During his stay, Radhakrishnan held discussions with President Herminie and Vice-President Sebastien Pillay, extending India's congratulations to the new administration. He also engaged with Mauritius' Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam and addressed an Indian diaspora gathering, underlining the historical ties and shared democratic values between India and Seychelles.
With eyes on the future, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized Radhakrishnan's push to enhance collaboration in key sectors, including health, education, energy, transportation, and maritime security. As Seychelles approaches significant anniversaries next year, both nations anticipate even stronger ties, poised for growth and mutual advancement.
