US President Donald Trump has once again asserted his involvement in mitigating the conflict between India and Pakistan. His remarks came during a meeting with Zohran Mamdani, the recently elected Mayor of New York City, held at the White House.

In a statement reaffirming his position, Trump referenced the May standoff between the two nations, emphasizing his administration's efforts in maintaining peace. He claimed to have brokered peace deals, which included a threat of imposing tariffs, urging both India and Pakistan to deescalate.

While Trump highlighted conversations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who assured no war was imminent, India has consistently rebuffed the idea of third-party arbitration, emphasizing its independent measures under Operation Sindoor to counter terrorism.
