Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, declared on Thursday that the future of the Persian Gulf will be devoid of American influence, emphasizing that foreign forces have no place in the region except beneath its waters. His statement, delivered on Persian Gulf Day and broadcast by state media, underscores a common destiny shared by regional nations, urging external powers to steer clear of Gulf affairs.
The Supreme Leader described the scenario as the onset of a 'new order,' shaped by Iran's resistance policies. 'By God's grace, the bright future of the Persian Gulf will be free from America, empowering the region's progress and prosperity,' he said, advocating for the removal of foreign influence thousands of kilometers away.
Khamenei lauded Iran's growing unity and strength in areas like science and technology, including nuclear and missile capabilities, which he deemed critical national assets. He commemorated Persian Gulf Day's historic significance in expelling colonial forces, while warning of current geopolitical tensions with the U.S. over the Strait of Hormuz.
