The Baloch Students Organization-Azad (BSO-Azad) honors four Baloch activists allegedly killed by Pakistani forces in 2015. Commemorating their activism amidst enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan, their deaths highlight human rights issues and strained relations with the state.
The Baloch Students Organization-Azad (BSO-Azad) has released a compelling statement commemorating four Baloch political activists—Ejaz Baloch, Shahnawaz Baloch, Aftab Baloch, and Basit Baloch—whose lives were tragically cut short after their alleged detention by Pakistani security forces in 2015, as reported by The Balochistan Post (TBP).
Describing the men as 'dedicated political activists,' BSO-Azad highlighted their roles in organizing and educating Baloch youth, vigorously advocating for political reform in the region. The organization emphasized their activism during a perilous era marked by enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
On April 21, 2015, security forces allegedly raided the village of Gwarjik in Mashkay during a wedding, leading to the arrest of the four men whose bodies were found the following day, a tragedy underscoring ongoing human rights concerns in the region.
