Bank of Mexico keeps rates on hold, tweaks its forward guidance

The ‌Bank of ​Mexico held its benchmark ‌interest rate steady at 6.50% on Thursday ‌for the third consecutive ‌meeting, underscoring that future decisions will consider the ⁠ongoing ​disinflation ⁠process. The five-member board of ⁠Banxico, as the ​Mexican central bank is known, ⁠was unanimous in its ⁠decision.

Economists ​polled by Reuters had widely ⁠expected the bank to keep ⁠rates ⁠on hold.
