Romania had budget deficit of 2.89% GDP at end-August

​Romania's ‌consolidated budget showed a ​deficit of ‌2.89% of GDP at the end of ‌August, the Finance Ministry ‌said on Saturday, compared with a ⁠4.51% shortfall ​in ⁠the same period of ⁠2025. In nominal terms, ​the deficit was 59.42 ⁠billion lei ($12.84 billion). Romania ⁠is ​targeting a deficit of ⁠6.2% this year.
