At least 11 killed in Haiti as gang retaliates against security operation, mayor says

​At least ‌11 civilians in ​Haiti were killed ‌on Monday in retaliation to a security operation ‌in the area by ‌a UN-backed force earlier in the day, ⁠the ​local ⁠mayor said in a ⁠radio interview.

The attack appears ​to have been carried ⁠out by members ⁠of the ​Kokorat San Ras gang against ⁠residents of Gros-Morne in northwest ⁠Haiti, ⁠Mayor Hubert Ceneac said.
