Warner says US briefing showed Russia targeting Democrats with misinformation
Senator Mark Warner, citing a recent US briefing on election security given to lawmakers, on Wednesday said Russia was targeting Democrats with misinformation.
"And the state of play, I would argue, is that, you know, Russia, similar to prior occasions, is going after Democrats," Warner, the senior Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, told reporters.
