MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss Sunday's game against the Atlanta Hawks with a sprained right ankle, the Milwaukee Bucks announced. He missed two consecutive games earlier this month with a minor ankle injury but played the past four games, averaging 26.5 points in 31.3 minutes.

With just under eight minutes left Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, though, Antetokounmpo collided with Clippers forward Garrett Temple and crumpled to the ground in pain, holding his right ankle. He had scored 34 points in 32 minutes. On the season, the 6-foot-11 forward is averaging 27.4 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 32.9 minutes per game.

The Bucks (57-19) have the NBA's best record with six games remaining on the regular season. They play three games on the road - at Atlanta, Brooklyn and Philadelphia - before closing the season at home against Brooklyn, Atlanta and Oklahoma City.
