Three large 'explosions' rocks Port Talbot TATA steelworks plant; Fire under Control
Three large "explosions" have rocked the Port Talbot TATA steelworks in South Wales. South Wales Police confirmed and tweeted that they are aware of the incident at the TATA-owned plant - with locals describing red smoke and the smell of sulphur after the loud bangs.
A TATA statement said: "We're dealing with an incident at our Port Talbot site. Emergency services assisting our own personnel. Updates to come."
"We can confirm there are no serious injuries and all employees have been accounted for. All fires are now under control," further added.
South Wales Police department confirmed two casualties and minor injuries as per initial reports.
