Industries federation calls for clarity on govt's policies after poll loss

Chancellor Angela Merkel's fractious ruling coalition must get its act together and win back trust quickly, the head of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) said on Tuesday, calling for clarity on the government's climate protection policies.

"The government has lost a lot of trusts," BDI President Dieter Kempf said, pointing to heavy losses of Merkel's conservatives and the co-governing Social Democrats (SPD) in last month's European elections.
