The Sacramento Kings have agreed to re-sign forward Harrison Barnes to a four-year, $85 million free agent contract, ESPN reported on Sunday. Barnes' agent, Jeff Schwartz, confirmed the agreement to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski after Barnes had turned down a $25.1 million player option in order to become an unrestricted free agent.

The 27-year-old will be joined in Sacramento by veteran swingman Trevor Ariza, who has agreed to a 2-year, $25 million contract with the Kings, according to multiple reports on Sunday, Ariza's 34th birthday. In addition, the Kings agreed to sign veteran 7-footer Dewayne Dedmon to a three-year, $41 million free agent contract, according to reports Sunday night. The Sacramento Bee reported that the third year of Dedmon's deal includes a partial guarantee.

Both Barnes and Ariza played for a pair of teams last season, with Barnes joining Sacramento in a trade-deadline deal from the Dallas Mavericks, where he had played since 2016-17. Combined with the Mavericks and Kings last season, Barnes averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 39.5 percent from 3-point range. The eight-year veteran, who played his first four NBA seasons in Golden State after being taken with the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, has career averages of 13.6 points and 4.9 rebounds.

Ariza will join his eighth different team in his 15-year career since the New York Knicks drafted him in the second round in 2004. Known as a valued 3-and-D player, he owns career averages of 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game -- and put up 12.5 points for the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards in the 2018-19 season. Dedmon, who turns 30 in August, will likely fill the void of starting centre Willie Cauley-Stein, whose agent told the Bee that he wanted out Sacramento.

Dedmon has played for five other teams in his previous seven seasons but comes off averaging a career-high 10.8 points per game for Atlanta last season in 64 games, including a career-high 52 starts. For his career -- which includes stints with Golden State, Philadelphia, Orlando, San Antonio and the Hawks -- he has averaged 6.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
