Ghana is all set to host the African Green Revolution Forum 2019 in Accra between September 3 and 6. This year's theme of this globally-acclaimed forum is "Grow Digital: Leveraging Digital Transformation to Drive Sustainable Food Systems in Africa."

The African Green Revolution Forum 2019 will consist of four-days conferences, events, awards, discussions, debates, high-level meetings including exhibition obviously focussing on this year's theme (mentioned above).

The African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) is an ideal podium for the global and African leaders to develop actionable plans that will move African agriculture forward. AGRF is considered as the planet's one of the most important and impactful forums for African agriculture. It gathers the stakeholders in the agricultural landscape to take practical actions and share lessons that will move African agriculture forward.

On the first day, September 3 of AGRF in Accra, Professor Thom Jayne of Michigan State University will be representing the forum. According to Future Agricultures, he will be moderating and presenting in a session "Megatrends Driving Agrifood System Transformation in Africa: The Evolving Role of Locally-led Policy Analysis Capacity". A presentation on "The Rise of Medium-Scale Farms in Africa" will be given by Professor Adebayo Aromolaran of Adekunle Ajasin University. It will be mainly based on Agricultural Policy Research in Africa's (APRA) research on medium-scale farms in Nigeria.

Among several objectives, one of the main intentions of this annual AGRF is to explore the evolving capacity development challenges and accordingly evolve with the ways of responding to these challenges within the context of rapid agri-food systems transformation in sub-Saharan Africa. The outcomes of the forum will severely help all the African governments and other stakeholders in capacity building.

The progress of African countries has severely been observed in the last 20 years and the rapid agricultural transformation with the incursion of digital innovations has notably helped economic growth and modernization. Thus, sustainable agriculture and its growth will always continue to drive Africa's progress. AGRF is one such vital podium to discover new tracks on which the continent will further flourish its agricultural sector.
