Crew of California dive boat say there were no mechanical issues before fire - NTSB

The crew of the California dive boat that erupted in flames, killing 34 people, told investigators that they were sleeping when the fire broke out and were not aware of any mechanical or electrical issues with the vessel, the National Transportation Safety Board said on Thursday.

The NTSB said in a preliminary report that it was still trying to determine the source of last week's blaze.
