The visit of the senior US Army officer to the Eastern Command signifies the growing strategic partnership between the two leading armies of the world, who are also important partners in bilateral training, spokesman Wing Commander S S Birdi said.

The meeting was aimed at further strengthening defense cooperation existing between the two nations to fight unitedly in the global war on terrorism, he said.
