The German government will comply with a ruling by the country's top court that took aim at the European Central Bank's flagship stimulus programme, a Finance Ministry spokesman said on Monday.
"We will meet these requirements," the spokesman told a regular government news conference.
Government spokesman Steffen Seibert added that the German Constitutional Court had not questioned the role of the European Court of Justice as the guardian of European Union treaties. (Writing by Paul Carrel; editing by Thomas Seythal)
