British engine-maker Rolls-Royce said a 5 billion pound ($6.47 billion) funding package announced on Thursday will take liquidity questions off the table and that conversations with shareholders about the rights issue had been positive. "We have had a number of shareholder meetings, which have been constructive, and I think generally positive," Rolls's CFO Stephen Daintith told reporters on Thursday.
"Ultimately we think we've got a compelling package here for shareholders to vote on." Chief Executive Warren East added: "This is a comprehensive package which will take any liquidity questions off the table through this crisis."
