Jagdish Mukhi takes additional charge as Nagaland governor

Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Friday took additional charge as the governor of Nagaland at a solemn function held at Raj Bhawan in Kohima.Justice S Serto, the judge of Kohima bench of the Gauhati High Court, administered the oath of office to the new governor.

Justice S Serto, the judge of Kohima bench of the Gauhati High Court, administered the oath of office to the new governor. Mukhi succeeded R N Ravi who will be the new governor of Tamil Nadu. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, other ministers, senior officers of the state and central governments and a number of dignitaries were present on the occasion.

In his maiden message to the people of the state, the 20th governor of Nagaland pledged to dedicate himself selflessly and tirelessly to their service.
