Illegal arms factory busted in Khatoli

An illegal arms manufacturing unit was busted Sunday in Khatoli here and one person was arrested, police said.

Several semi-finished pistols, and two guns and as many rifles and pistols were seized, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sudhir Kumar said.

Seventeen gun barrels were also found at the unit by a police team, he said.

Kumar said one of the accused, Arif, was arrested while his accomplice Gopal is at large.

They sold the illegal arms in near by places, the SSP said.
