Two men have been arrested for allegedly luring people to convert to Christianity on the pretext of curing them of their diseases, police said on Tuesday.
Gendalal and Hiralal were arrested on Monday from the Saini area for allegedly trying to covert people in Ghumai village, Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and they have been sent to jail, police said.
A detailed probe is on in the matter, they added.
