TikTok disappointed with UK decision to ban it from govt phones

Chinese-owned video app TikTok said it was disappointed with a decision by Britain on Thursday to follow other Western countries in banning it from government phones.

"We believe these bans have been based on fundamental misconceptions and driven by wider geopolitics, in which TikTok, and our millions of users in the UK, play no part," a spokesperson for TikTok said in a statement.
