EU reaches deal on joint procurement of EU ammunition for Ukraine

EU ambassadors agreed a deal on Wednesday to finalise a plan for European Union countries to jointly buy ammunition to help Ukraine fight Russia's invasion.

Sweden, the current holder of the EU's rotating presidency, said the ambassadors approved the decision "to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces through 1 billion euros for joint procurement of ammunition and missiles".
