Bihar cop found hanging from ceiling in barracks

A police constable was found hanging from the ceiling in barracks in police lines in Bihar's Purnea district on Thursday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Rahul Kumar, a resident of Banka district.
When his colleagues returned to their barracks around 2 pm after their daily duties, they found the door locked from the inside and got no response to their calls. When they broke it open, they found Kumar's body hanging from the ceiling, Police Lines Sergeant Rajeshwar Prasad said.
Superintendent of Police Aamir Javed and other senior officials, along with forensic experts, visited the spot and further investigation is underway.
