Ukraine's Zelenskiy: Bursting of dam will not affect drive to retake territory

The bursting of the Kakhovka dam was an act deliberately carried out by Russia and it will not affect Ukraine's drive to recapture its own territory, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday.

"The main conclusion is that the burst was deliberate, but the enemy acted in chaotic fashion allowing its own equipment to be flooded," Zelenskiy said on Telegram after a meeting of the military command.

"At the same time, the bursting of the dam will have no effect on Ukraine's ability to recapture its own territory."
