Chuck Grassley seeking leadership of Finance Committee

U.S. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, currently head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will seek to lead the chamber's Finance Committee when the next Congress convenes in January, he said in a statement on Friday.

In recent weeks, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has publicly stated that he would aim to take over the chairmanship of the Judiciary panel if there was a vacancy.
