Tragic Incident: Minor Girl Raped and Murdered in Telangana Rice Mill

A six-year-old girl was raped and killed by a labourer at a rice mill in Peddapalli district, Telangana. The accused has been arrested under the POCSO Act. The incident occurred when the accused took the child from her sleeping mother, raped her, and then killed her when she raised an alarm.

A horrific incident unfolded in Telangana's Peddapalli district where a minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered by a labourer at a local rice mill, police reported on Friday.

The accused, identified as Balaram (35) from Madhya Pradesh, has been apprehended under the POCSO Act, confirmed Ramagundam Police Commissioner M Sreenivasulu.

Balaram abducted the six-year-old from her sleeping mother at the rice mill's camp during the early hours and committed the heinous act. As the girl raised an alarm, he strangled her. Locals intervened and handed him over to the police. The victim's body has been sent for a postmortem examination.
