Ahmedabad Airport Hoax Bomb Threat Triggers Security Sweep

A bomb threat email targeting Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport prompted a thorough search by security personnel, which ultimately found nothing suspicious. The incident took place a month after a similar hoax, reflecting a pattern of false alarms affecting multiple airports.

An email bomb threat targeting Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport triggered an exhaustive security search on Monday, officials revealed.

Security personnel, including local police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), scoured the premises for over two-and-a-half hours but found nothing suspicious, according to Inspector SG Khambhala of the airport police station.

This was the second time in over a month that Ahmedabad airport had received a fake bomb threat, the previous incident occurring on May 12. On June 18, Vadodara airport in Gujarat was also among several airports across the country that were targeted in similar hoaxes.
