In a significant development, Yatin Yadav, alleged kingpin of the 2022 JKSSB sub-inspector recruitment exam paper leak, has been placed in a seven-day Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody. The special court's decision comes under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

On Tuesday, the special public prosecutor, Ashwani Khajuria, successfully acquired the remand from the Special Judge, anti-corruption (CBI cases), Jammu Bala Jyoti. Yadav, a 43-year-old resident of Rewari, Haryana, was produced in court by ED’s Assistant Director, Rahul Verma.

Following the examinations, substantial cash payments were routed into Yadav’s accounts. The ED had previously attached his assets worth Rs 1 crore.
