BJP MLA Urges Probe into Karnataka Land Scam Involving Chief Minister’s Wife

Senior BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has called for judicial intervention in an alleged land scam involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority. The plot allocations reportedly benefitted Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife. Yatnal has appealed to the Karnataka High Court to ensure an unbiased investigation, highlighting potential financial losses of Rs 1,000 crore.

Senior BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has written to the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court N V Anjaria, urging the court to take suo moto action regarding the alternative plot scam in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The scam allegedly benefits Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife.

Yatnal requested the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation and monitored by the High Court to ensure transparency and thoroughness. He expressed confidence that under judicial guidance, justice would be served, and citizens' rights protected.

The MUDA scam has allegedly resulted in the illegal allotment of over 3,000 plots in Mysuru. Yatnal claimed that the Chief Minister’s wife, Smt Parvathi, received 14 sites illegally. He also accused a Karnataka cabinet minister of attempting a cover-up by taking related files to Bengaluru.
