Two civilians were killed and eight injured when a Russian aerial bomb struck a village near the Russian border in Kharkiv, according to Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov.

The bomb hit an area of private houses in Bilyi Kolodyaz, Synehubov reported on Telegram. Emergency crews were on the scene to provide assistance.

The village is located in a region where Russian forces had previously launched a cross-border incursion in May, an action that Ukrainian officials say has been contained.
