Senior BJP leader Raghunandan Sharma on Friday urged Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to carry out a cleanliness campaign in his government and the state administration, similar to his efforts with local water bodies to remove hidden corruption.

Speaking at a programme marking the rejuvenation of a local lake, Sharma stressed that although the chief minister has begun a small-scale cleanliness drive, a larger initiative is necessary to tackle the widespread hidden corruption within the government. He expressed confidence in Yadav's ability to clean up the government due to his immense energy and strong willpower.

Sharma further elaborated to reporters that some individuals within the government occupy positions for personal gain, creating obstacles for others. He noted that elements such as middlemen and agents thrive due to political shelter, suggesting the chief minister must address these issues to ensure public welfare. Addressing the event, CM Yadav praised the conservation efforts and aesthetics of the lake, thanks to the newly deployed fountains that oxygenate the water.
