Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasized today that the vision of 'Viksit Bharat @2047' transcends mere aspiration to become a sacred mission for India. Addressing the students and faculty of NMIMS in Mumbai, he called upon every citizen, institution, and sector of society to contribute wholeheartedly towards this transformative goal.

Reflecting on India's recent advancements in governance, Vice-President Dhankhar highlighted a substantial shift in the country's business landscape, positioning India as a premier destination for investments and opportunities.

Drawing an analogy to a rocket's ascent, Dhankhar underscored India's resilience in overcoming challenges, likening political turbulence to air pockets that do not disrupt a flight's trajectory. He expressed confidence that India's trajectory in the next five years would mirror a rocket's breakaway from gravitational forces.

Acknowledging external attempts to undermine India's progress, Vice-President Dhankhar urged the youth to actively combat negative narratives targeting the nation's institutions and developmental path.

Addressing the historic abrogation of Article 370, Dhankhar referenced a parliamentary discourse from 1963, affirming its temporary nature and expressing gratitude to parliamentarians for the decisive action in 2019. He speculated on how figures like Dr. Ambedkar or Sardar Patel might have approached Jammu and Kashmir's integration differently.

Delving into India's rich educational legacy, Dhankhar extolled ancient institutions like Nalanda and Takshashila, attributing their influence to India's stature as a knowledge powerhouse with substantial soft power and trade impact. He emphasized the pivotal role of higher education in national development and societal empowerment, drawing inspiration from these historical centers of learning.

Encouraging a departure from conventional thinking, Vice-President Dhankhar urged youth to explore emerging opportunities beyond traditional competitive examinations. He advocated for embracing new fields such as AI, quantum computing, and the Green Hydrogen Mission, urging all to envision and seize the vast potential ahead.

Present at the event were Dr. (Smt.) Sudesh Dhankhar, Shri Ramesh Bais (Governor of Maharashtra), Shri Praful Patel (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha), Shri Amrishbhai Rasiklal Patel (Chancellor of NMIMS), Dr. Ramesh Bhat (Vice-Chancellor, NMIMS), Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar (Pro Vice-Chancellor, NMIMS), along with faculty members, staff, and students.
