In a shocking turn of events, three policemen, including an inspector, have been suspended after a video showing them drinking alcohol in their office in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district surfaced online.
The video, which went viral on social media, depicted a liquor bottle and glasses in the Dial-112 emergency helpline office, leading to immediate action. The suspended officers are Inspector Sanjiv Kumar and head constables Anuj Kumar and Ashwani Kumar.
An inquiry has been initiated, and the additional superintendent of police, Shamli, has been instructed to investigate the matter thoroughly and submit a report, an official statement confirmed.
