Mangaluru City Municipal Commissioner C L Anand was among 13 government officials raided by Lokayukta sleuths in Karnataka on Friday in connection with disproportionate assets cases, a Lokayukta official said.
Anand, a senior grade Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) officer, was posted as Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner in June 2023. He was transferred on July 4, which was subsequently cancelled on July 9 after an appeal.
The premises of Hebbagodi City Municipal Council Commissioner K Narasimha Murthy, along with several other officials, were raided. The extensive operation spanned multiple districts, involving over 100 sleuths and covering 54 locations, including areas in Bengaluru, Tumakuru, and Kalaburgi.
