Key Arrest in Bahujan Samaj Party Leader Murder Case
The Chennai police have arrested another individual in connection with the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party Tamil Nadu unit chief K Armstrong. A key suspect, Arul, disclosed that mobile phones were disposed of by advocate K Haridharan. Police recovered three phones from the Kosasthalai River.

The Greater Chennai Police have made a significant arrest in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party Tamil Nadu unit chief K Armstrong. This brings the total number of apprehended suspects to 14.
During interrogation, one of the suspects, Arul, detailed how he had handed over six mobile phones to 37-year-old advocate K Haridharan. Haridharan, an AIADMK Union Committee Member in Kadambattur, then disposed of the phones in the Kosasthalai river.
Following this information, Haridharan was arrested, and special teams from Fire and Rescue and the Police departments recovered three of the phones from the river. The search for the remaining phones continues. Armstrong's murder is believed to be an act of vengeance, linked to the murder of notorious criminal 'Arcot' Suresh in August 2023.
