Karnataka Cabinet Takes a Stand: Key Resolutions Adopted on NEET and Electoral Reforms

The other resolutions oppose 'One Nation, One Election' and the delimitation of constituencies. The Karnataka Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, convened on Monday night and approved three crucial resolutions, official sources confirmed. Among them is a resolution opposing the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
Other notable resolutions include opposition to the 'One Nation, One Election' policy and the delimitation of constituencies for the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies. These resolutions will likely be presented during the current legislature session, possibly as early as Tuesday.
In addition to these resolutions, the Cabinet gave the green light to the 'Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill 2024.' A four-member committee, led by former chief secretary B S Patil, proposed the creation of a Greater Bengaluru Authority with comprehensive planning and financial powers and the establishment of up to 400 wards.
