A Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed in the Volgograd region in southern Russia on Saturday during a scheduled training flight, according to the Russian Defence Ministry, reported by the state-run RIA news agency.
The Ministry confirmed that the crew successfully ejected from the aircraft, which subsequently crashed in an uninhabited area. There were no munitions onboard during the flight.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash and ensure measures are taken to prevent future incidents.
