During a Governing Council Meeting of the NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Adityanath cited his state's substantial contribution of 9.2% to the national GDP, positioning Uttar Pradesh as the country's second-largest economy. He emphasized the state’s commitment to the welfare of women and girls.
Adityanath highlighted the state’s robust law-and-order system, attributing its improved reputation to a stringent anti-crime approach. He also noted that Uttar Pradesh stands out for effectively punishing criminals involved in crimes against women and has eliminated organized crime threats. With 351 best practices uploaded on the NITI Aayog's portal, Adityanath mentioned the state’s strides in various developmental schemes.
