Delhi LG Announces Compensation for Civil Services Aspirants' Families
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of three civil services aspirants who died in a flood at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar. A Joint Task Force will survey and seal illegal structures in the area.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Monday announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of three civil services aspirants who died after flooding of the basement of a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar.
In a statement from Raj Niwas, the LG, who met with protesting students, assured that action will be taken against officials of the Delhi Fire Services, police, and Municipal Corporation of Delhi within 24 hours.
A Joint Task Force constituted under a Delhi High Court order will survey all buildings in Rajinder Nagar, sealing off basements and other illegal structures that violate building byelaws and fire safety norms.
