NCB Destroys Over 140 Kgs of Narcotics in Major Crackdown

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) destroyed 119 kgs of heroin and 21.455 kgs of other narcotics at Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. in Derabassi, Mohali. The disposal, related to nine cases, was supervised by a high-level committee and marks one of the largest operations by the Chandigarh Zonal Unit.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday announced the destruction of 119 kgs of heroin along with 21.455 kgs of various other narcotics. This significant operation took place at Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. in Derabassi, Mohali.

The Chandigarh Zonal Unit led the disposal, which was executed by incinerating the substances in a furnace. According to an official release, this effort pertains to nine different cases and marks one of the most substantial drug disposal operations undertaken by the unit in recent times.

The entire process was overseen by a high-level drug disposal committee, ensuring adherence to the necessary regulatory protocols.
