An FIR has been registered against Congress MLA Sahab Singh Gurjar from Gwalior for allegedly assaulting women who visited his residence seeking his assistance to resolve a faulty electricity transformer issue.
The Gwalior Rural MLA has refuted the allegations, labeling them as a political conspiracy. Superintendent of Police Dharmveer Singh reported that the FIR was filed under sections 115 (2) and 296 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita following a woman's complaint. The investigation is ongoing, and further actions will be determined based on its findings.
The complainant told reporters that when she and other women from Mau village sought Gurjar's intervention, he allegedly assaulted and dragged them by their hair. Gurjar, however, stated that he immediately contacted relevant officials to address the issue and claimed that the villagers raised slogans and attempted to attack his personal security officer outside his house.
Gurjar insisted that he did not act indecently and suggested that the accusations are part of a political plot against him.
